All  East Coast Seabee Reunion

February 2008

Below, is a photo of a "Hot" Mule and the CE 2 that liberated it from. . .  Well, lets not get into that as we all owe a lot to Billy Millican, the Webmaster of the Navy Seabee Veterans of America Web site,  www.nsva.org  Most of you found our 121 Web site via the NSVA Guestbook and I for one, am very grateful for their support.  But, lets get back to Billy, who was promoted to CE 1 after this photo was taken.  The question in my mind is, did he receive a field promotion because he had a way with Mules?   Thankfully, Billy is one of us having made MCB 121's third deployment to Da Nang, starting out with 'B' Co. and ending up doing some light work with the 'H' Co. S2 Communications Staff!  I would encourage everyone to follow Billy's links from the NSVA Web site and check out his offerings.  You can also use the E-mail links below to let him know that we all appreciate the wonderful work he has done in service to his fellow Seabee Veterans!  Billy, is truly a "Can Do" Seabee, but, if I had a Mule, I might regard Billy C. Millican as a menace!  Alan Kane 4/21/00

Curt "Doc" Tamminga, served with MCB 121 on the '67 & '68 tours to
Vietnam as a Navy Corpsman.
In the photo below, he addresses a
meeting of the Downing Ruritan Club of Richmond, VA regarding
the Seabees and their contribution to the Vietnam effort.
Great job, Doc!
