My dues are on the way. I was with 121 for the first two deployments as a heavy mechanic in the fifth platoon of "A"Co.
This is the first time that I have been able to contact anyone from 121 since leaving her. Great to read all of those names and know that so many of you have hung in there and made it this far.

If you spent a Christmas in Vietnam, then you must know the following:
Jingle bells, mortar shells, VC in the grass.
Take your Merry Christmas and jam it up your _ _ _

Now that I look back on those days, I know that Christmas in Vietnam was also shared with a family of friends and really not all that bad.. And to that "Family" I wish all a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Our WW II Seabees are leaving us now in ever increasing numbers. I wish to thank them, the first Seabees, for their role in bringing respect and admiration to all the Seabees of both the past and future. They couragously established the "CAN DO" legacy that we of later times so proudly honored by our service to God and country. As the first Seabees muster out, one by one, let those who will follow remember them with pride. Until. . .

This Web site proves that while you can de-commission a Seabee Battalion, you can not de-commission the memories of those who take pride from serving with MCB 121.
